Barbecues for Soldiers
A barbecue of values – Youth for the soldiers
Our youth take the reins and organize “Barbecue for Soldiers” events from A to Z. From planning and preparation to grilling and serving – they lead the entire process, learning responsibility, teamwork and giving. Through their direct encounter with the soldiers, they not only provide warmth and support to those who dedicate their time to defending the country, but also strengthen themselves – become empowered, experience management and leadership and understand the power they have to make an impact.
You toss and turn from side to side. Trying to catch up on hours of sleep between tasks. Suddenly the usual hum is interrupted by the laughter of boys and girls. Out of nowhere, young people appear, dragging barbecues, carrying bags and waving tongs.
In an unexpected scene, they tell anyone who will listen about the events they organized at school to raise the money, the long discussions about which meat would be best to buy, and how much they invested in building the menu!
They melt you with their love, and you're surprised at how unlike your average teenager they are...
Or maybe it's our youth, that's the level!
In the middle of a day in the city, Juha's friends arrive and throw you a barbecue at the post, and with it the atmosphere.
